Our Vision
Our Vision Statement:
Our vision is of healthy children who will grow up connected to their families, communities and culture. We will work together toward the day all children and families have skills, knowledge, education and support to ensure their children and their children’s children will not enter the child welfare or justice systems.
Our Mandate Statement:
Surrounded By Cedar Child and Family Services will provide child and family services rooted in cultural values and beliefs to restore and enhance the strength and resiliency in the urban Aboriginal community.

We are most grateful to the following organizations and individuals for their financial support:
- Ministry of Children and Family Development - Capital Region and the Aboriginal Services Branch
- Queen Alexandra Foundation
- Victoria Foundation - Adoption and Permanency Planning Trust
- British Columbia Gaming Policy & Enforcement Branch
- Mary Grant
- Sybil Fine
- Phil Petersen
First Nations are largely self defined. Identified here are major ethnic groups, based on shared territory, language, and culture. Some are represented today by a single nation; others comprise many smaller nations, sometimes known as bands.
